Senior linebacker J.T. Thomas started out his last day as a player at Mountaineer Field with a surprise, and hung around as long as possible after West Virginia's 35-14 win over Rutgers.

J.T. Thomas came out for introductions in his father's #41 jersey -- a move that was a surprise even to the elder Thomas.

"I had no idea he was going to do that," the senior Thomas said. "I gave that jersey to him when he was little. It took me by surprise, and it was really special."

Following West Virginia's win, the younger Thomas included the rest of his family in the celebration. He brought other family members on to the field, paid his respects to fans and generally tried to soak in the entire experience.

In this interview, Thomas discusses all of the events of his Senior Day win.
