Bowers Back in Starting Role

Cole Bowers will make his third start of the 2010 season as West Virginia faces N.C. State in the Champs Sports Bowl.

Cole Bowers is being slotted at right guard in place of Eric Jobe, who is sliding down one spot to the center position to fill in for the ineligible Joe Madsen at center. He's been putting in as much work as possible to improve his communication with his linemates, and is trying to build on the thigns he learned in his starting stints against LSU and UNLV earlier in the season.

Although Bowers is still s relative newcomer to starting in college, he did get a good deal of playing time this year. He participated in nine games and was in for more than 250 snaps, including 68 against Maryland after replacing an injured Josh Jenkins.

In this abbreviated interview, Bowers explained the lessons he learned from those games, and how he has been using as many different methods as possible to make sure he's ready for the game.
