Springboard Trip

John Flowers

Last year, West Virginia's extended run through post-season tournaments was fueled by the camaraderie and togetherness built with the attendant lengthy road stays that go with tournament play. Could another such streak be in the offing after its unplanned stay in Louisville and Cincinnati?

Senior forward John Flowers, for one, hopes so. He saw the way in which the team came together last year (and was, in fact, a big part of it with tweets and videos constructed during off hours), and he hopes the same will happen this year.

Every season seems to have a couple of key junctures that serve as either turning points or indicators of how the year will turn out, and Flowers hopes the five-day stay in Kentucky and Ohio will turn out to be one of those for this year's squad.
