Pittsburgh Pro-Am Update

Two WVU newcomers at opposite ends of the experience spectrum had solid games in the Pittsburgh Pro-Am Summer League on Monday.

Senior transfer Matt Humphrey and freshman Eron Harris combined for 24 points in SPK's narrow-one point loss to PGT. Humphrey made four of his seven attempts from the field, including 2-4 from three-point distance, and added one rebound against one turnover. Harris was an even better 5-7 from the field (2-2 from beyond the arc). He was 2-3 from the free throw line and had two rebounds against one turnover.

Jabarie Hinds again showed he's ready to take a bigger role this year, leading the Oliverio's Peppers squad with 16 points in a 67-58 loss to GNC. Hinds was 5-11 from the field and 6-7 from the free throw line. He had three rebounds and balanced one assist against one turnover.

Freshman Terry Henderson struggled with his shooting, making just 1-6 from the field and 1-4 from the foul line. He did have five rebounds, however, and suffered just a single turnover.

Play continues on Wednesday at the Greentree Sports Complex.
