Recruiting Update - Iowa Western

The Reivers are off to a 4-0 start this season, blowing out all four of their opponents. Obviously, they are loaded with talent and we at JCFootball.com got an update from assistant coach Mike Strohmeier on who has offers from which schools and which player surprisingly doesn't have one yet...

QB Jake Waters - Waters doesn't have any offers at this point, which is a huge surprise to the Reiver coaches, but schools like Kansas State, Auburn and Fresno State have been showing quite a bit of interest.

Stats: 78 of 108 (72.2%), 1,121 yards, 16 TDs, 2 INTs
WR Martize Barr - Barr has already committed to Illinois and is having a solid season at wideout for the Reivers.

Stats: 8 rec., 97 yards, 1 TD

DL Rodney Coe - Coe can play almost anywhere along the defensive line and has attracted offers from South Florida and Iowa State.

Stats: 19 tackles (7 solo), 3 sacks, 5.5 tackles-for-loss

DE Devon Nash - Nash is a dynamic pass-rusher off the edge for the Reivers and has offers from the likes of Arizona State, Kansas State, Memphis, Nevada, Oklahoma State, San Jose State, Texas Tech Troy and Western Kentucky. Stats: 12 tackles (7 solo), 2 sacks, 5 tackles-for-loss

DT Jordan Heiderman - Heiderman has gotten off to a good start this season, doing his job which is clogging the middle, allowing the linebackers and dynamic defensive ends to run free. Heiderman has already committed to Indiana.

Stats: 16 tackles (5 solo), 2 sacks, 3 tackles-for-loss

OL Dallas Hinkhouse - The tackle prospect has attracted offers from several schools includin Ball State, Florida International, Memphis, San Jose State, Troy and Western Kentucky.

RB Don Jackson - The freshman isn't getting a lot of touches, but that doesn't mean his talents and potential haven't garnered him some offers. Two schools, Nevada and Iowa State, have both extended offers and more schools could get in the mix soon.

Stats: 3 carries, 19 yards

RB Aaron Wimberly - Iowa State, Troy and UNC-Charlotte have all offered the talented, multi-purpose back.

Stats: 60 carries, 465 yards, 5 TDs

WR Deon Long - Long committed to Maryland during the summer and the Reiver coaches say if he hadn't he would have offers from quite a few schools. Rumors are that Long has received offers from Nebraska, Illinois and Florida as well.

Stats: 37 rec., 609 yards, 11 TDs

OL Mike Smithberg - Memphis is Smithberg's only offer at this point, but more schools could be calling sooner rather than later.

LB Malkaam Muhammad - The redshirt freshman was offered by Wyoming over the summer and he has committed to sign with the Cowboys after the season.
