MHSAA D2 Final Prospect List

Muskegon vs Brother Rice play for the Michigan Division-2 state title, and the field is littered with prospects.

59	Kenny Finley	DT	2014	6-3/255
Finley is hearing from multiple BCS schools including Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati and Iowa. He's a quick interior guy who some schools see as a five-tech, but he lines up right over the center a lot for the Big Reds.

53	Malik King	OG	2014	6-5/275
The Big Reds have a great offensive line, but King is probably the best prospect because he's only a junior and a little longer than the rest. He's heard from Iowa and others. He plays guard but could project as a tackle as well.

4	Marcus Smith	Slot	2013	5-8/185
Elusive slot back with good hands and open field ability. Size is a limiting factor, but he had a good summer and good season and has a number of schools looking his way.

74	Antwan Billings	OT	2013	6-3/275
Tough, hard working kid. Has good strength. He's a senior who is looking at some D2 partial offers and possible walk-ons at the Division-1 level currently.

77	Chandar Ricks	OT	2013	6-4/275
Likely a college guard, but has good size and ability. Like Billings, likely an offer guy at the D2 level, other opportunites may present themselves after the season.

72	Quincy Crosby	OC	2013	6-2/275
The team's center. He's an interior guy at the next level for sure. Like his other teammates, he is mostly being looked at by D2, D3 and 1-AA schools.

55	William Hunt	LB	2014	6-0/225
Junior who is hearing from some schools and Iowa invited him for an unofficial.

OTHERS TO WATCH
Senior DB D'Vonte Dockery is a long, athletic prospect, as is 6'3 receiver Keyondre Craig. 6'1 senior Sherman Hodges is another good prospect, and senior RB John King is a tough, hard nosed runner. Quarterback Jalen Smith is a quick, elusive athlete who may see opportunities come at other positions. Junior Deshaun Thrower is a 6'1, 190-lb DB who should receive some looks as well.

33	Jon Reschke	LB	2013	6-3/232
Michigan State commit and recent Michigan offeree. 4-star guy with a great nose for the ball, strength and speed.

28	Brian Walker	RB	2014	5-8/225
Bowling ball style running back with deceptive speed. Had a really good junior year and is being recruited by Division-1 schools.

7	Cheyne Lacanaria	QB	2013	5-9/165
Smart, tough, accurate quarterback who has received a couple of lower level opportunities. Not the biggest guy, but a good player.

3	Joshua Flye	WR	2014	5-7/155
Undersized, but athletic slot guy who made some big plays this year.

30	Sergio Perkovic	DE	2013	6-4/223
Athletic edge guy who has chosen to play lacrosse in college, but had a lot of schools looking at him for football.

5	Corey Lacanaria	WR	2014	5-7/160
Sure handed junior, who like his brother, is not big in stature, but seems to always come up with big plays.

66	Griffin Anderson	OL	2013	6-6/270
Good sized senior offensive lineman whose brother was a Division-1 recruit. Griffin is being recruited by a lot of schools and we expect more opportunites to come after the season.

46	Lucas Cherroci	LB	2013	6-1/218
May get overshadowed by Reschke at times, but also has a great nose for the ball and makes a lot of tackles.

4	Jason Alessi	S/K	2014	6-0/170
Not only a pretty good safety, but also an excellent kicker.

OTHERS TO WATCH
Junior running back Shon Powell is only 5'6, but quick and a nice change of pace to Walker. Junior DT Alberto Sandoval is a nice kid who will have a big job against the physical offensive line of the Big Reds. Sophomore quarterback Alex Malzone spells Lacanaria and the 6'3 youngster has the look of a future D1 prospect.
