The Cowboys have the week off from all practices and strength and conditioning workouts as they try to let the bodies heal a little from the regular season.
However, there's no time off for the coaching staff, as the recruiting mode now kicks in and most of the assistants were on the road starting Sunday. Gundy will be out visiting recruits later this week.
As for any contacts with other schools looking for coaches, such as Tennessee or Arkansas, Gundy was not discussing that. But his focus was on devising a master schedule that combined recruiting, practices and time off for Christmas, and then practices leading up to the Heart of Dallas Bowl against Purdue on Jan. 1 in the Cotton Bowl.
As of now, it appears the team will meet in Dallas to begin the onsite preparations on Dec. 27.
Gundy sure doesn't look like a coach that is moving someplace else as his focus was on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
