Recruiting is starting to heat up for Dayton (Ohio) Thurgood Marshall two-way standout Vayante Copeland.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Copeland could play on either side of the ball and three programs have jumped onboard early with offers.
"I picked up my first offer from Eastern Illinois," said Copeland. "Toledo and Bowling Green offered me on Friday and I'm hearing from several other schools."
Copeland helped the Cougars to a 12-2 record this past season lining up as a cornerback and running back where he rushed for 1,707 yards and 19 touchdowns and has drawn early interest from several programs.
"I'm hearing from West Virginia, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State," said Copeland. "I'm not sure what camps I'll be attending this summer but I'm looking at several."
