Interviews: WVU - TCU Game Three

Jacob Rice didn't think West Virginia let down after scoring four runs in the first inning against TCU -- rather, it was the performance of reliever Alex Young that turned the tide.

Rice had three hits against the Horned Frog staff on Sunday, but his output wasn't nearly enough to stem the 16 runs recorded by TCU.

Both Rice and Brady Wilson were appreciative of the on-field ceremonies honoring mothers before the game, and relished the chance to share a few moments with them before the contest. While both would have liked to have gotten the win for them, having them there for the contest was special.

"My mom said it was probably the best Mother's Day present she had ever gotten," Wilson said afterward.

He also noted the difficulty of hitting against TCU's excellent pitching staff.
