Interest Still There

While the attendance for West Virginia's 2013 football Fan Day was down from previous seasons, there were still plenty of attendees who took the chance to meet the Mountaineers on Sunday.

With Fan Day coming a week earlier than in previous seasons, and preseason interest lower than prior to the 2012 campaign, it was to be expected that numbers would be down at the Caperton Indoor Facility for the 2013 version. However, a solid crowd still turned out despite the lack of a clear marketable star on this year's West Virginia team.

Unlike past seasons, when players such as Pat White, Steve Slaton, Geno Smith and Tavon Austin merited their own tables, this year's event simply grouped everyone by position at eight different tables. The slightly modified arrangement didn't appear to affect the ability of any attendee to get signatures, as many of those in line were able to navigate through all position groups, as well as the coaches' tables, to get their items endorsed.
