A major topic of conversation throughout college football this summer has been the NCAA's new targeting rule. And one player who many people thought could be affected was hard-hitting WVU safety Karl Joseph.

But after meeting with Big 12 officials and head coach Dana Holgorsen, the sophomore doesn't see the new rule having a big impact on the way he plays.

In fact, his position coach Tony Gibson sees 2013 as a major breakout year for Joseph. Gibson talks below about the first time he saw Joseph play on TV and saw that there was potential for something special. Recommended Stories
