In their first game in a WVU uniform, punter Nick O'Toole and running back Charles Sims both played big roles in the Mountaineers' victory against William & Mary.

O'Toole punted the ball five times for 253 yards (an average of more than 50 yards per punt).

Sims, who was named the preseason Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Year, ran the ball 23 times for 120 yards and a score. After the game, he talked about his first time experiencing a home game at Milan Puskar Stadium.
