After a bye week, West Virginia was eager to get back out on the field and defend its home field against Texas Tech to start the second half of the season.

And even following a slow start put the Mountaineers in a 13-0 hole in the second quarter, WVU came storming back.

West Virginia outscored the Red Raiders 27-3 before Texas Tech scored three-straight touchdowns while the Mountaineer offense sputtered to end the game and dash WVU's hopes of another upset over a ranked opponent.
