West Virginia head coach Mike Carey was mostly pleased with his team's play against Marshall, and wants to keep the momentum rolling in his squad's final two non-conference games before Big 12 play begins.

Carey commented on his team's depth and experience as important factors in WVU's win, and noted that it will see different defensive approaches when it begins league play.

Christal Caldwell had an uncharacteristically cold shooting day, but she pointed out that West Virginia's depth and unslefishness allow it to continue playing well overall even when one of its cogs is misfiring.

While the Mountaineers continue to espouse the "one game at a time" mantra, there's not much doubt this team has the ability to pile up wins and perhaps make a deep postseason run. Violet Palmer listed some of the qualities that she thinks will help WVU achieve those heights.
