BGN Video: Power Game

Cody Clay

West Virginia slogged through more than two hours of wet drills on Saturday. Here, offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, line coach Ron Crook and tackle Adam Pankey and back Cody Clay offer respective thoughts on the session and how the Mountaineers' fared in the goal line and short yardage sets.

Dawson, below, discusses West Virginia's ability to move the ball behind the first team line regardless of skill position players, how the Mountaineers' fit up in power situations and his overall take heading at approximately the halfway point of drills.

Crook, entering his second season at WVU, delves into his likes and dislikes, the development of his interior starting three and the overall cognition of a line that seemed to move the ball well at times, then, with the second and third teams, bog down against a well-schemed defense.

Pankey, listed as the starting left tackle, gives his impressions of the line development, his personal growth as a player and discusses the importance of gaining some playing time late last season.

And, finally, Clay details the differences in his approach at fullback (B back) versus tight end, his desire to slim down and add speed and quickness and why he feels the Mountaineer defense got the better end of goal line drills at times during Saturday's session.
