Anderson Pledges To WVU

Alex Anderson

West Virginia added its 11th commitment to the football recruiting class of 2015 on Monday when Miramar High (Fla.) running back Alex Anderson pledged to the Mountaineers.

West Virginia went back to the Sunshine State for its latest football commitment.

The Mountaineers picked up another verbal pledge from Miramar (Fla.) running back Alex Anderson on Monday evening.

"I'm glad to be a Mountaineer," Anderson told BlueGoldNews.com. "I feel good."

Anderson (5-11, 190 lbs.), chose the Mountaineers over offers from Boston College, Wisconsin, Tennessee, N.C. State and Georgia Tech, among others.

He recently confirmed with Scout.com that three programs -- Wisconsin, N.C. State and West Virginia -- were currently recruiting him the hardest.

As a junior, Anderson rushed for nearly 300 yards and nine touchdowns.

He is rated a three-star prospect by Scout.com and as the 58th best running back in the country. He becomes the 11th commitment for the class of 2015 and the second at the running back position.

Stay tuned to BlueGoldNews.com for more details and analysis on his commitment.
