West Virginia's backup freshman point guard had a solid outing against the 15th-ranked Florida Gators.

Tyler Relph hit four of hs seven shots from the field, including two of four from three point range, on the way to a career-best 12 points in WVU's 70-57 loss to the Gators.

Relph was the one Mountaineer who seemed unfazed by Florida's pressure defense, especially in the second half. The New York native kept the ball moving against the Gator defense, and was one of the few bright spots in the second half for the Mountaineers. Relph had nine of WVU's meager 22 points in the final period.

Relph also hit his only two free throws of the evening, and avoided many of the silly mistakes that led to turnovers for other members of the West Virginia squad.
