Kevin Pittsnogle made the most of his playing time in WVU's losing effort to Providence on Saturday evening.

In just twenty minutes of playing time, Pittsnogle scored 15 points to lead West Virginia's mostly meager efforts against Providence. The Mountaineer center scored his points on excellent 6-8 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3-3 mark on three pointers.

Typical of WVU's evening was Pittsnogle's fadeaway three-pointer at the first half buzzer, which capped a string of five striaght points for the Mountaineers. However, the mini-outburst only brought West Virginia to within 21 points of the Friars, who dominated the game from the outset.

Pittsnogle added just one rebound to his line score, but also had an assist. The Martinsburg, W. Va. native also had at least one blocked shot that was not credited by the stat crew.
