Pittsnogle broke out of the funk he suffered against Rutgers by scroing 22 points against Virginia Tech. The Martinsburg native hit four of his nine three-point attempts and added two other field goals to go with a 6-9 performance from the foul line.
Pittnsogle also asserted himself on the boards a bit, grabbing eight rebounds. More importantly, he protected the ball after getting those rebounds and did not allow the hacks of would-be Tech theives to take the ball away from him.
Pittsnogle also added a steal and two blocks in 33 minutes of action as the Mountaineers came up short against the Hokies for the second time this year. Tech played a bruising game and outscored the Mountaineers by eight points in the second half to come away with a 53-49 victory.
