Tyrone Sally

WVU announced its basketball award winners at Sunday evening's banquet, and five players took home hardware for their season's efforts.

For the second consectuive season, forward Tyrone Sally took home the team MVP Award. Sally led the team in scoring with 12.2 points per game, and finished his career with 1,092 points, placing him 34th on the Mountaineers' all-time scoring list. Sally is one of just 41 players to score 1,000 or more points at WVU.

Junior point guard J.D. Collins was honored for his work at the bottom of WVU's 1-3-1 zone with the Best Defender award, while jack-of-all-trades Joe Herber took home the Team Man award.

Frank Young earned the Most Improved title, while senior Duriel Price grabbed the Unsung Hero honor.
