WVU Second in EAGL Championships

West Virginia's women's gymnastics team finished second at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League 2002 tournament by only four tenths of a point.

The Mountaineers were edged by North Carolina, who recorded a team score of 196.425. WVU was second at 196.025, followed by Maryland (194.825), NC State (194.725), New Hampshire (194.375), Pitt (194.275), Rutgers (192.700), and Towson (192.350).

This was the first ever EAGL championship for the Tar Heels. WVU has won four EAGL titles and North Carolina State two.

WVU shoots for another trip to the NCAA national meet as they host the southeast regional on Saturday, April 6 at the WVU Coliseum.
