West Virginia had several recruits on hand for its 20-15 win over East Carolina on Saturday.

Headlining the senior group was linebacker Recardo Wright of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fla. Wright, who could play any linebacker spot, as well as possibly spur or bandit, took in all the sights and sounds of gameday on his trip.

Other players on hand included offensive lineman Gino Gradkowski of Seton LaSalle (Pa.) High, Bob Gulley of Berea (Ohio) High School, Archie Donald of Penn Hills (Pa.), Greg Thomas of McNicholas High School and Chris Meenan of Wooster High School.

Junior quarterback Charlie Russell of Morgantown High School, who figures to be a regular visitor at Mountaineer Field for the next couple of seasons, was also again on the field before the game. West Virginia is holding nothing back in their efforts to make Russell their quarterback in the Class of 2007.

Another new face was Josh Jenkins of Parkersburg High School. Just a sophomore, Jenkins is already attracting attention for his excellent line play and outstanding frame. Already standing six feet, five inches and weighing in around the 280 mark, Jenkins figures to be a very good prospect at tackle.

BlueGoldNews.com will have interviews with several of these prospects over the next few days.
