While offensive linemen are often overlooked on the field of play, the men in the trenches do get their fair share of recognition. Two Mountaineer seniors were on the Outland Trophy watch list, which was released on Monday.

The Outland Trophy, awarded annually to the nation's best offensive or defensive lineman, is given by the Football Writers Association of America.

The two Mountaineers on this year's list, senior center Dan Mozes and senior guard Jeremy Sheffey, are joined by some of their Big East opponents.

Connecticut defensive tackle Rhema Fuller, Rutgers defensive lineman Remel Meekins, Louisville offensive linemen Kurt Quarterman and Eric Wood, and South Florida offensive lineman Theodric Watson were the other Big East players who made the watch list. Players may be added or taken off the list throughout the season.

Finalists for the trophy will be named in November, and the winner will be announced in early December.
