NBA Summer League Roundup

Four West Virginia University alumni were in action on Tuesday in NBA summer leagues in Las Vegas, Nev. and Orlando, Fla. as they continued their efforts to make the highest level of professional basketball.

  • D'or Fischer helped Charlotte remain unbeaten in summer league play when he tipped in an errant Adam Morrison shot just before the buzzer to give the Bobcats an 88-87 win in Orlando.

The tip capped a solid performance for the Mountaineer alum, who scored nine points on 4-5 shooting from the field. He also had six rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots in 21 minutes of playing time.

  • Mike Gansey and Kevin Pittsnogle each scored five points in Miami's 91-85 win over New Jersy in the Pepsi Pro Summer League in Orlando, Fla. Gansey, who played 14 minutes in a starting role, was 2-3 from the field (1-2 from three-point range), and added three rebounds and an assist. Pittsnogle, who saw 22 minutes in a relief role, was a cold 1-8 from the field (inccluding 1-4 from long range). He did make both of his free throw attempts, and had four rebounds, an assist and a block. He continued to struggle defensively, committing six fouls in the game.

  • Patrick Beilein played just seven minutes and failed to score in the Houston Rockets' final game in the Toshiba Vegas Summer League. Beilein misfired on a trio of three-point attempts, but did dish out two assists.
