Best To Date

Former West Virginia University basketball star Kevin Pittsnogle had his best game to date in the Miami Heat's 89-81 loss to the Indiana Pacers in the Pepsi Pro Summer League in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday.

Shaking off shooting woes that plagued him through his first three games, the 6-11 Martinsburg native scored 10 points on 4-9 shooting, including two of six from three-popint range.

Defense continues to be a problem for Pittsnogle, who committed six fouls in 16 minutes of action.

Mike Gansey again saw limited time for the Heat, logging just five minutes while failing to dent the scoreboard. He did have one rebound and one assist during his short stint on the court.

Following a strong outing on Wednesday, Dor Fischer did not play for Charlotte in their game on Thursday. Fischer injured his knee, and has also been ruled out for Friday's final game.

The Heat wrap up their participation in Orlando with a game on Friday against the Magic.
