There are several highly regarded players that WVU has offered and appear to be in good shape with as the early signing period approaches.

Point guard Tyler Relph (6-0 170), hails from Rochester, New York, and appears to be narrowing down his schools of choice. Relph plays for Coach Joe Marchese at McQuaid Jesuit High School and is one of the most sought after senior schoolboys from upstate New York.

Relph indicated that his recruitment was down to a two-school race with West Virginia and Rhode Island the current leaders.

“It will probably come down to Rhode Island or West Virginia” Relph said. “The two biggest things with me are the coach and playing time. The conference the school plays in is not that important to me.”

Relph said his next visit to Morgantown would be in September. “I plan on visiting WVU on the 13th and 14th. I’ve already been there on an unofficial visit.

“My biggest strength is my shooting accuracy and my range,” Relph said. “I take it as a challenge to be able to take five guys and make everyone involved and productive.”

Relph currently has offers from WVU, Clemson, Rhode Island, Northern Illinois, Richmond, and Hofstra.

Since July, Relph has been very busy, attending the Nike Invitational Camp in Indianapolis, Adidas BigTime Tournament in Las Vegas and the AAU Nationals in Orlando.
