West Virginia kicker/punter Pat McAfee has been named Big East Special Teams player of the week for his performance against Cincinnati.

McAfee, a native of Plum, Pa., averaged 49.0 yards on three punts against the 21st-ranked Bearcats. He put two inside the 20-yard line, including a 71-yard bomb from his own three-yard line.

Quarterback Patrick White earned a spot on the league's honor roll of performances by running for a game-high 155 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. He also completed 13 of 19 passes for 140 yards in the win. The rushing performance pushed White over the 3,000-yard career rushing mark, making him the first Big East quarterback to ever achieve that total.
