Following WVU's 66-21 crushing of Connecticut, no fewer than three Mountaineers earned spots on the Big East's weekly awards list.
Junior linebacker Mortty Ivy of Monroeville, Pa., registered a game- and career-high 11 tackles, including three tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble against the Huskies. Ivy was all over the field as he helped the Mountaineers secure a BCS bowl berth.
Junior plackekicker Pat McAfee earned his second consecutive weekly special teams honor in the game. The Plum, Pa. native scored 11 points, going 8-for-8 on PATs and hitting a 46-yard
field goal, and averaged 52.7 yards on three punts. All three of his punts were placed inside the 20-yard line.
Junior quarterback Patrick White earned a spot on the Big East honor roll by rushing for a game-high 186 yards with two touchdowns. He added 107 yards and another score on nine of 13 passing.
