John “Doc” Holliday will be announced as West Virginia’s associate head coach in charge of fullback and tight ends Saturday at 11 a.m.

Holliday, a former associate head coach in charge of safeties at Florida, completed the background check. Holliday will reportedly be paid $400,000 annually on a five-year contract. That salary would more than WVU has ever paid any assistant. The West Virginia native was at WVU from 1979-99, when he accepted the associate head coach and wide recivers job under Chuck Amato at N.C. State. He was named to Urban Myer's Florida staff in 2005. Holliday, known as among the nation's best recruiters in Florida, will cover the same are for West Virginia.

Holliday is attached to several recruits, though it is unknown if he will try to bring them to WVU. More information will be available tomorrow.
