Backfield Bonanza

West Virginia continued to build its backfield of the future with the verbal commitment of another running back on Wednesday.

Daquan Hargrett, a highly regarded running back from Northwestern High School in Miami, Fla., made West Virginia his choice on Wednesday. His commitment followed that of Shawne Alston of Phoebus (Va.) High School on Monday.

Hargrett had Division 1 offers from Minnesota, Soth Florida, Buffalo and florida International as well as West Virginia. A compactly built back, Hargrett helped lead his team to the Class 6A state title as a junior. He finished the year with 117 carries for 882 yards and 12 scores. He also had eight catches for 161 yards and one score.

BlueGoldNews.com will have more from Hargrett and his coach soon.
