One bright spot in WVU's 17-14 overtime loss to Colorado was the play of cornerback Ellis Lankster.

Lankster was a defensive demon in the game, brining hard hitting and aggressive tackling to a Mountaineer defense sorely in need of some in-your-face play. That, combined with two lengthy punt returns, earned him a spot on this week's Big East Honor Roll list of noteworthy performances.

The junior college transfer had 11 tackles and two pass breakups in the contest. On special teams, he averaged 21.3 yards on three punt returns.
