Bland finished in fourth place out of 191
runners from 26 teams at 21:24, and was named to
the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Team.
With the win, WVU automatically qualifies for
the NCAA National Championships, which will take
place on Nov. 24, in Terre Haute, Ind.
The WVU women’s basketball team had 26 offensive
rebounds in its win against North Carolina Central, 70-31,
on Friday, Nov. 14. The rebound mark is a program-best
mark under Coach Mike Carey.
