To the surprise of absolutely no one, West Virginia quarterback Patrick White was again named the Big East offensive player of the week.

White had a hand in all five Mountaineer touchdowns, accounted for 322 yards of total offense and set NCAA and Big East records in leading West Virginia to a 35-21 win at Louisville.

He ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the NCAA's career leader for rushing yards by a quarterback (4,292 yards). White also completed 6-of-11 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns. He has accounted for a Big East-record 98 career touchdowns, passing former Syracuse great Donovan McNabb's old mark of 96.

White's 200 yards of rushing was the fourth such game of his career, making him WVU's all-time leader in that category as well.
