Although it can't be accurately stated that any of West Virginia's players played particularly well on Saturday night, there still has to be a player of the game.
Da'Sean Butler -- like everyone else in white -- struggled from the field on Saturday, finishing just 2-9. Butler did have a game-high three steals. He also collected nine rebounds and finished with seven points while playing virtually the entire game (39:33).

West Virginia made just five field goals in the second half, finishing with 15 for the game. This after the Mountaineers held UK to five made shots in the first half.
Despite holding the Wildcats to just 16 first-half points, West Virginia only led by 10 at the break.
Aside from the Delaware State game in which he finished with seven 3s, senior guard Alex Ruoff has struggled from the field. Those struggles continued on Saturday as Ruoff finished just 3-13 from the floor, including a brutal 1-10 effort from three-point land.
If you are looking for a silver lining, it's this: many of his missed shots were open. If Ruoff continues to get open shots, he will eventually start knocking them down.
Wellington Smith's three-pointer with 7:29 remaining tied the score at 39. Unfortunately for Smith and the Mountaineers, it was the final field goal of the night for West Virginia.
WVU only managed four field goal attempts over the final seven minutes, making none.
