West Virginia freshman forward Devin Ebanks has become both more aggressive and more comfortable in his starting role for the Mountaineers, and that paid off with his first award from the Big East conference.

Devin Ebanks posted a pair of double-doubles in a 1-1 week on the road for the Mountaineers. The 6-9 forward recorded 13 points and 17 rebounds in a 68-65 loss to No. 23/22 Davidson in the Jimmy V Classic in New York. Ebanks followed that effort with 15 points, 10 boards and four assists in a 68-63 victory at Duquesne.

Ebanks has been particularly effective on the offensive glass, snaring 24 such rebounds so far this year.
