after missing the Penn State match
with an injury and was forced to face Lehigh’s top
wrestler in No. 11 Trevor Chinn at 149 pounds.
Jauregui, who now owns a 3-1 overall record
and is 3-0 in dual meets, fell behind 3-1 in the match.
However, after earning an escape point and a stalling
point, Jauregui forced the match into overtime and
was able to seal the deal in the third extra session
with an escape and a takedown for the 6-4 win.
The women’s basketball team has had at least one
Mountaineer score 20 or more points in seven straight
games, and in 10 of 13 games so far this season.

West Virginia went 1-1 last week, defeating Longwood 76-51 and falling at No. 19/22 Pitt, 72-63 ... the Mountaineers
dominated the Lancers in most areas, including rebounds (51-25), fi eld-goal percentage (45.9% - 29.8%),
points in the paint (36-10) and fast-break points (18-4) ... sophomores Sarah Miles and Liz Repella combined for

34 points, including 28 in the second half, to lead the No. 19/22 Panthers over a feisty West Virginia squad in the
BIG EAST opener for both teams ... Zellous’ performance, which included scoring Pitt’s fi rst 16 points of the second
half, overshadowed excellent efforts from Mountaineers Granberry, Repella and Miles ... the trio combined for 52 of

9-19 shooting including 4-8 from 3-point range, marking her sixth 20-point game on the season and fourth in her last
