For The Fans

West Virginia's Fan Day has evolved into a smooth running operation under the direction of Matt Wells and the West Virginia Sports Marketing staff.

Wells, who oversees the setup and operation of Fan Day, notes that the size of the event changed this year due to the departure of stars such as Pat White, but the importance of the event remains. It allows those who don't get the chance to see the players in person that opportunity, which hopefully creates a more personal connection.

Wells also notes that the event has changed over the years, with tweaks and changes designed to provide a smoother experience for everyone in attendance.

BlueGoldNews.com caught up with Wells during Sunday's event.
