Bitancurt was named Big East Special Teams Player of the Week after accounting for 15 of West Virginia’s 33 points in the Mountaineers’ 33-20 win against Liberty. The Springfield, Va., native was 4-for-4 on field goals, connecting from 38, 35, 45 and 36 yards, and made all three PATs he attempted in his collegiate debut.
Bitancurt's performance solidifed what was a question mark at the position coming into the season for the Mountaineers.
