The Texans evened their record at 3-3 as they traveled to Cincinnati and defeated the first-place Bengals, 28-17. Let's see how our keys to the game played out.
Three most important things for the Texans defense:
1. Stop
Cedric Benson
.
The Texans defense played big as they shut down the former UT back, holding Benson to just 44 yards on 16 carries.
2. No show for Ocho.
Chad Ochocinco
played well as he caught five passes for 103 yards, but no touchdowns.
3. Hit Palmer.
Houston didn’t get a ton of Pressure on the Cincinnati quarterback, as
Connor Barwin
registered the only sack and there was just one other official quarterback hit.
Three most important things for the Texans offense:
1. Make them respect the run.
Houston had a respectable 87 yards on 31 carries as a team, as they were less one-dimensional.
2. Make Owen a fantasy must-play.
Owen Daniels
had a big day has he caught seven passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
3. Please no turnovers.
The Texans turned it over twice, but it wasn’t enough to ruin a great Sunday.
What to look for:
1. First team to 20 wins.
Houston scored 28, Houston won.
2. Team with the ball last wins.
It really didn’t come down to the last possession as the Texans took control of the game in the second half.
3. Look for
Steve Slaton
to struggle.
Slaton ran for just 43 yards on 19 carries, but he did catch six balls for 102 yards and a touchdown.
4. Look for
Antwan Odom
to get a sack.
Odom was shut out, as he didn’t reach the stat sheet.
5. No dance for Ochocinco.
Chad Ochocinco played well, but there was no dancing as he failed to reach the end zone.
