The Mountaineer men's basketball team was honored twice in recent days, as several hundred WVU fans turned out at the Mountainlair Wednesday night for a rally in support of the NIT champions, as well as West Virginia's women's squad, which advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Then on Thursday night, the men's squad had a quieter affair, as the team's awards dinner, sponsored by the Mountaineer Athletic club, was held inside Touchdown Terrace at Milan Puskar Stadium.
Various individual awards, some in jest and others in a serious vein, were presented to Mountaineers. They were:

First To Marry - Alex Ruoff
WVU's team captains - Nichols, Summers and Young - also spoke to the crowd at the banquet, which was emceed by Tony Caridi. The women's basketball banquet will held Sunday afternoon at Touchdown Terrace.
