Biography:

Offensive lineman who was a steady force for the Mountaineers program. Dependable player who started 34 straight games during his career. Has played both tackle and guard positions during college career.

Ira Rodgers Award for all-around student athlete, Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll, Four-Year letterman.

Bowl trips: Music City 2000, Continental Tire 2002, Gator Bowl 2003, 2004.

Senior 2004: 1st Team All Big East selection. Berk average game grade of 80% was based on a tough scale. Winner of National Football Foundation $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a graduate student in special education.

Junior 2003: 2nd Team All-Big East. Started every game played by the Mountaineers. Started 5 games at Left Tackle (Wisconsin, East Carolina, Cincinnati, Maryland, Miami) and 8 games at Right Guard. Earned Gridiron Gladiator Award from coaching staff. Offensive Champion Virginia Tech

Sophomore 2002: Started every game for Mountaineers at left guard as WVU ranked as one of the best running teams in the country. Offensive Champion East Carolina.

Freshman 2001: Played in several games and started final three (Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Temple) Offensive Award: Syracuse

Finalist in the North-South Miami Valley all-star game.
