| AN OVERVIEW
Kyle Madsen started his career in Nashville, Tenn., with Vanderbilt but after spending a redshirt season with the Commodores, he decided to return to central Ohio to complete his collegiate career. He sat out the 2006-07 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules and after two years away from competition, returned to the court for his sophomore season in 2007-08.
He has been one of the hardest workers on the roster and is expected to make significant contributions this season for a deep and talented Buckeye squad. The son of Patty and Neil Madsen, he has two younger brothers, Scott and Tyler. Kyle played for Jamey Collins at Dublin Coffman. His cousin, Mike Madsen, played baseball at Ohio State (2002-05).
