Offensive Firepower

Can a team succeed without speed and athleticism? Probably not, and as offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and line coach Ron Crook will tell you, they have both on this year's squad.

Shannon Dawson has proven his worth as offensive coordinator at WVU, and this year might hold his largest and deepest group of talent. Coach Dawson talks about how this year's team is talented enough that subbing will be less important than keeping the tempo. The diversity across the board allows the running backs, tight ends and wide receivers to be effective at any spot at anytime.

Ron Crook has seen some extremely athletic players in his day while coaching at both Harvard and Stanford, and this year's groups has talent that will certainly translate to the Big 12. Crook notes that this year's line "trusts each other" and will directly correlate to success on the field. Most important for the line will be the depth. Crook says there will be a few backups that could make an impact after fall camp.
